About UK

Born a military brat, I was first seen in Fort Riley Kansas. Before my second birthday, my parents and I moved to Kaiserslaughtern Germany, which is where I consider myself from. Lots of good memories there.
After my Dad got back from Desert Storm, we moved to El Paso TX for a couple of years, then to DFW. I think I really remember my artistic creativity beginning to bloom in El Paso. I was about 7 and started writing short stories and comics of my own characters. My mom even wrote a theme song for my first creation, Jack Jackal. I wrote a “junior novelization” of the Jack Jackal movie ( it was in my mind haha ). I recorded myself reading the story on a tape player, and Mom played guitar and sang during the beginning, page turns, and end of the story. What a mom! She’s always been so supportive and loving in everything I do, I don’t know where I’d be without her.
At 31, I’ve always been an artist but never really started pursuing the professional side of it till July/August 2012. Before then, I was focusing only on my bands. I was the singer/bassist in a band called Back After Dawn from 2003-2010. I graduated in ’03 and had no plans for school, just to pursue music. So I started getting tattoos in the attempt to “ruin” me for any sort of proffessional job. It was a way to keep pushing myself, giving me only the options of art and music. It has, so far, proven true haha.
Eventually, my first band broke up and I formed a new band called SAYONARA, which was going pretty well for a few years until some unexpected occurrences took place. I went on to be a back-up singer/dancer for Scary Cherry and the Bang Bangs while they toured for about two months near the end of 2013. Afterwards, I formed a band called Villain ( now A God Am I ) and met my now husband Tyler. That band has since disbanded and me and Ty are now in the process of writing our E.P.
My goal is to be a concept artist for video games and also an illustrator for anything anime/manga/comic-wise. Near the beginning of 2016, I illustrated two children’s books and four covers for a young-adult series as well as numerous other projects which include logos, album art, shirt designs, and many more. I am now working on a secret anime project which I will reveal more information about when I am actually allowed to.

I love video games. It is my go-to for relaxing. My favorites include: Pokemon ( all of them ), Destiny, anything Shin Megami Tensei ( NOCTURNE to be exact ), Shadow of The Colossus, Skyrim, anything Final Fantasy, and anything Zelda.

Favorite movies ( in no particular order ) include: Akira, As Above, So Below, Fight Club, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited, Django Unchained, Kill Bill,  Pineapple Express, The End of Evangelion, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and American Psycho.

The television shows I love can tell you a lot about me and my humor: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rick and Morty, Workaholics, South Park, Drunk History, Bob’s Burgers, American Dad, Regular Show, and Broad City.

I decided to start this blog so people can know more about me and what I do rather than just read the status updates and tweets. Oh yea, and Instagram pics too. So, I’ll do my best to entertain you here. Thanks for reading the long bio 🙂
